Enjoy free entrance to Egyptian Museums on International Museum Day
To celebrate the next edition of International Museum Day (IMD) all museums under the Ministry of Antiquities will open for free on May 18, 2019.
The announce was given by Egypt’s Minister of Culture Dr. Inas Abdel-Dayem on Tuesday, May 7.
The International Museum Day has been coordinated by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) since 1977, and it represents a unique moment for the international museum community. The objective of IMD is to raise awareness of the fact that museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples.
